I studied Journalism & Mass Communication, from Arizona State University where I graduated with Honors.

My background as a Journalist means that I can listen to the story of your career and distill those experiences into an engaging and easy-to-read resume that gets the attention of potential employers.

I am also Certified in: Veterans Cultural Competence Training from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs & Columbia University Teachers College. I also keep up-to-date on the most recent trainings like "Optimize Your Resume for Applicant Tracking Systems" from LinkedIn Learning.

As a military veteran spouse (USMC), I’ve even helped active duty and military veterans apply for jobs in the “real world” as they transitioned into new opportunities. I loved seeing their energy change as they realized what they really wanted to do.

On the path to becoming a coach, I’ve worked at many different jobs in various industries. From freelance writing and editing, marketing and online event planning to child care, retail, and even car sales. I’ve done a lot!

What I once considered my weakness, has led me to one of my biggest strengths.

All that change and transitioning, helped me learn how to be better at writing a resume that stands out, how to be more confident during job interviews, which details to highlight and which ones can be left out, how to adapt quickly to new situations, and most importantly how to better track success while applying for those jobs.

Throughout my career, I got really good at writing resumes. So good that my friends, family, and co-workers started asking me for help with theirs. Then, they recommended me to their friends and co-workers and I’ve been helping people get better jobs faster, ever since. Over the years, I developed a process that helps my clients with more than just updating words on a page--I help them achieve true transformation.

I enjoy writing resumes and (although that’s boring for most people) I get excited and think it’s fun! Career Coaching is a combination of communication, research, writing, editing, and attention-to-detail that I absolutely love. I also really enjoy connecting with people and listening to their stories.

Now, I collaborate with my clients to help them create the best version of their resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and show them how to put their best selves forward during the interview.

There’s something exciting and cathartic about creating a new resume that actually reflects that person’s career and life experience while still being true to their talents and skills.

Finding that balance is especially rewarding to me as I can see the confidence in people grow as they start to realize that their experience leading up to now really does matter.

Many leaders in technology and military veterans come to me feeling frustrated and discouraged by their current job search situation. They have the skills, talents, and desire for something more but just don’t know how to put all of that experience onto paper.
